Reveal Night: the gender reveal game for your TV
A sealed-envelope gender reveal your whole family plays together. A trusted friend seals the result, guests vote Team Boy or Team Girl on their phones, then your TV counts down to confetti, an announcer and a celebration song made for your baby — with AI.
- No app for guests
- One payment, no subscription
How the sealed-envelope reveal works
Step 1: Set up your party
Add your baby’s nickname, your names, the date and a TV theme. Our AI composes the countdown music, an announcer and a celebration song for each outcome.
Step 2: Hand the secret to your Reveal Keeper
Send a private link to whoever holds the result — the sealed envelope from your NHS 20-week scan or a private gender scan. They tap boy or girl to seal it. You never see it.
Step 3: Guests vote on their phones
Put TV mode on the big screen. Guests scan the QR code with their phone camera — no app — and join Team Boy or Team Girl, then guess the birthday and weight.
Step 4: Press Start
Voting closes and a 30-second countdown builds. Then: confetti, the announcer, “IT’S A GIRL!” (or boy!) and your own song — followed by who guessed right.
A gender reveal party idea everyone gets to play
Most gender reveal party ideas have one person pop the balloon while everyone else watches. Reveal Night turns the moment into a game: every guest picks a team, the tension builds on your TV, and the whole room finds out together. It’s a digital gender reveal, so there’s nothing to buy, nothing to sweep up and nothing that can misfire — just a screen, some sound and your favourite people.
It works with any result someone can hold for you: an NHS 20-week scan or a private gender scan. Guests play for bragging rights only — no money, no bets.

The AI’s guess vs the room
Had a NubHub 12-week nub theory reading? You can show its guess on the TV as “the AI’s guess”, right next to your guests’ votes — then see who was closer when the envelope opens. It’s optional and just for fun.
- The result itself only ever comes from your Reveal Keeper’s sealed answer.
- Songs and the announcer are made with AI — we make both versions, so nobody can tell which will play.
Made with AI for fun and keepsakes — not medical advice. Always rely on your healthcare team for anything about your pregnancy.
Gender reveal game questions, answered
Who seals the result?
Your Reveal Keeper — a trusted friend or relative who knows the result. Usually they hold the sealed envelope from your scan, or the clinic tells them directly. They open their private link, tap boy or girl and confirm. Their page never shows the answer again after sealing, and they can re-seal to fix a mistake until the countdown starts.
Do guests need an app?
No. Guests point their phone camera at the QR code on your TV (or type the short link) and vote in their browser. No app, no account and no email — just a first name or nickname.
Can we cancel if someone’s late?
Yes. Once you press Start there’s a small Cancel link on the TV. Use it any time before the countdown reaches zero and voting reopens. Once it’s revealed, it’s revealed!
What if we don’t know the sex?
You’ll need someone who does. Reveal Night doesn’t find out your baby’s sex — it reveals a result someone already holds. Some NHS hospitals will share it at the 20-week scan if you ask (policies vary), and many private gender scan clinics can put the result in a sealed envelope for you to hand to your Reveal Keeper.
Does the AI guess our baby’s sex?
No. The AI only makes the music and the announcer’s voice. The result always comes from your Reveal Keeper. If you had a NubHub 12-week reading, you can choose to show its guess on the TV for fun — it’s clearly labelled as the AI’s guess.
What do we need on the night?
A big screen with a web browser and decent sound — a laptop plugged into your TV works best, or cast a browser tab. Guests just need their own phones. Family who can’t make it can vote from the guest link, and their phones get the result the moment your countdown ends.
Is there any betting or money involved?
No. Guests play for bragging rights only — no money, no bets and no prizes from us. Just the glory of being right.
Can we get a refund?
Reveal Night is digital and we start making it straight away, so the usual 14-day cancellation right ends once making starts — you’ll tick to agree to that at checkout. If something goes wrong on our side, we’ll fix it or refund you.
What happens to our guests’ details?
Guests only enter a first name or nickname and their guesses — no accounts, emails or phone numbers. Names appear on your TV and in your studio, and you can hide any name from the TV. Your studio and keeper links are private, so keep them to yourselves.
